STAFF
Here at MIT, we aim to set the standard of excellence in Radiology services. Each of our team members have met the highest standards of registration and certification in their field of study.
TECHNOLOGISTS
X-Ray Technologist
An x-ray technologist is considered qualified with registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Registry requires graduation from an accredited school, an x-ray internship in a clinical setting, and a written examination.
CT and MRI Technologist
CT and MRI require prior ARRT certification, plus advanced cross-training in a clinical setting and a registry or certification in the specialty.
Ultrasound Technologist
An ultrasound technologist (sonographer) is considered qualified when they are certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Sonographers complete a two-to-four-year ultrasound degree program, including a one-year ultrasound clinical internship. To become certified, sonographers must complete a series of registry examinations. Sonographers may specialize in three categories: general/obstetrical gynecology (OB-Gyn), vascular, and cardiac.
